The incident of vandalism at House No. 32 in Dhanmondi is unintended and undesirable, said the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He said that the provocative statements made by Sheikh Hasina while in India while on the run have created deep anger in the public mind, which has been expressed.
He said this in a statement sent from the press wing of the Chief Advisor’s office on Thursday (February 6).
In the statement, the Chief Advisor said that the incident of vandalism at House No. 32 in Dhanmondi is unintended and undesirable. Sheikh Hasina’s provocative statements made against the July coup while on the run in India have created deep anger in the public mind, which has been expressed.
Stating that there are two issues regarding the incident of vandalism at House No. 32 by the angry crowd, he said that there has been no attack or destruction of any kind at House No. 32 in the last six months. This happened last night around the speech of the fugitive Sheikh Hasina, which has two parts.
One part is that Sheikh Hasina insulted and humiliated those who sacrificed themselves in the July Uprising. By making absurd, absurd and hateful remarks regarding the death of the martyr, the fugitive Sheikh Hasina has disrespected and disrespected the July Uprising.
Secondly, even after fleeing in the face of the uprising, Sheikh Hasina continues to speak in the same threatening tone against the July Uprising and every person who participated in the uprising. Sheikh Hasina has threatened to create instability in the country.
Dr. Yunus said, Sheikh Hasina is continuing to inflict one blow after another on the wounds left in the minds of the people regarding the July massacre. In response to her violent behavior, the vandalism of house number 32 took place.
Stating that the government is aware, he said that the interim government is on the highest alert to protect the lives and property of the country and the people. The law enforcement agencies are making all-out efforts to bring the situation under control.
If Sheikh Hasina, an accused in a warrant for crimes against humanity, refrains from giving a speech, it is possible to avoid a recurrence of such incidents.
The government hopes that India will not allow its territory to be used to create instability in Bangladesh and will not give Sheikh Hasina the opportunity to give a speech. The interim government does not want such incidents to repeat in the future.
Announcing the decision to take legal action, the head of the interim government said that the trial of those involved in the July massacre is in full swing. The interim government is committed to ensuring this trial and giving appropriate punishment to the genocide perpetrators. The government will examine what legal action can be taken against those involved in provocative activities.
