Tarique Rahman assures to stand by Magura’s child

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has taken charge of the treatment of the child who was raped in Nijnanduali village of Magura.

He said this in a phone conversation with the child’s mother on Saturday (March 8).

At the beginning of the phone conversation, Tarique Rahman inquired about the child’s physical condition. He said that all the BNP leaders and activists in Magura will be by the side of the child.

Assuring that justice will be served, Tarique Rahman said that we will make every effort on our part. Those who wronged the child should be punished according to the law.

At that time, the BNP Acting Chairman also said that we will try whatever is necessary for the child’s treatment, from the position of our party.

The child’s mother narrated the brutal torture on her daughter to Tarique Rahman. Hearing this, he again said that we will try our best from our position so that the child gets justice.

Later, Tarique Rahman assured again that the party leaders will always be by her side. Finally, he wished the child a speedy recovery.

Earlier, on Saturday (March 8) afternoon, Dhaka Medical College Hospital Director Brigadier General Md. Asaduzzaman said that the child’s condition is critical. He is breathing with the help of a ventilator.

Asaduzzaman also said that the child has wounds on his genitals due to brutal torture. His throat injury is serious. A medical board has been formed with doctors from the gynecology and anesthesiology departments to treat the child. They have been asked to provide the best possible treatment.
