CID reports finding bones in house at Dhanmondi 32

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police has announced the discovery of some bones from Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s house at No. 32 in Dhanmondi.

On Monday (February 10) morning, Dhanmondi Police Station OC Ali Ahmed Masud said this after the CID’s crime scene unit went to collect evidence.

He said that some bones were found at No. 32, and now the CID’s crime scene unit has come and collected evidence to confirm whether they are human or some other animal.

After collecting evidence, the CID team left around 10:15 am, OC Masud said.

It is worth noting that on February 5, angry students and the public vandalized Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s house at No. 32, centered on the online speech of the fugitive Sheikh Hasina. The angry people arrived at the under-construction building next to the house. They saw several basements of that building. Although they were able to go down to two floors, water was visible on the next floor. It is estimated that there are several more floors below. After that, various discussions were going on for a few days about the location of the basement of this house.

To find out more about it, the fire service was working to irrigate the basement of number 32 since Sunday morning (February 9). After completing the irrigation work, the fire service personnel left the scene around 1:15 pm.

Then today (Monday), the CID’s Crime Scene Unit went to collect evidence. They worked there in the presence of Dhanmondi Police Station.
