What Trump said about Bangladesh

US President Donald Trump met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time after taking office for the second time. Modi met with Trump at the White House on Thursday. From trade to immigration, several issues were discussed in the meeting.

After the meeting, a journalist asked Trump, what is your opinion on Bangladesh? Because it is clear that during the Biden administration, the US Deep State was involved in the change of government in Bangladesh. Even Muhammad Yunus Jr. met Soros. What is your view on the Bangladesh issue?

In response, Trump said, our Deep State had no role in this matter. This is an issue that the Prime Minister (Modi) has been working on for a long time and, to be honest, this issue has been being worked on for hundreds of years. But I leave it to the Prime Minister (Modi).

After that, Modi talked about India’s possible role in ending the Russia-Ukraine war. He said, I support Donald Trump’s initiative in finding a possible solution to end the war. Global public opinion says that India played a neutral role in this war. But I want to make one thing clear, India’s role was not neutral, we have always been in favor of peace.

Modi told reporters that there is one thing in common between me and President Trump. We both put the interests of our countries first. Trump also praised Modi and said that Modi is doing a great job in India. We have a good friendship. The meeting discussed several issues including the Russia-Ukraine war, trade, migration.

The United Nations recently released a report on the situation in Bangladesh. It accused the government of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of human rights violations and the destruction of democracy. The report on the 2024 student movement depicted attacks on protesters and the deaths of many people.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said about the report that Sheikh Hasina’s government was fascist. He requested India to return Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh.

In addition, the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry said that a memorandum may be sent to India again seeking the extradition of Sheikh Hasina. However, no final decision has been taken in this regard.
