The country’s largest Friday congregation at Ijtema Maidan

The country’s largest Friday prayer was held at the Bishwa Ijtema Maidan on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur, in the presence of lakhs of devotees.

The prayer began with a sermon at 1:30 pm on Friday (February 14). The Friday prayer was led by Maulana Saad Kandalvi’s eldest son Yusuf bin Saad.

Md. Abu Sayem, media coordinator of the second phase of the Ijtema, said that the sermon began at around 1:30 pm before the prayer and then the devotees gathered and offered Friday prayers.

Meanwhile, Maulana Yusuf bin Saad and his younger brother Maulana Ilyas bin Saad arrived at the Bishwa Ijtema Maidan at 8:15 am on Friday. They went to the maidan and participated in a long prayer, as a result of which the devotees present became emotional.
